Danish Cultural Institute in St. Petersburg

Danish Cultural Institute was founded in 1940 under the auspices of Danish Ministry of Culture. The institute’s head office is in Copenhagen, Denmark. The main aim of the institute is to establish contacts and assisting in cultural exchange increasing mutual understanding between Denmark and Russia.

Thus the institute cooperates with the Danish Embassy in Moscow, the Danish Consulate General in St. Petersburg and different cultural institutions of St. Petersburg, Leningrad region and their Danish colleagues.
In cooperation with other countries the institute spreads the information about culture, art and public life in Denmark and also provides the Danish people with information about other countries.
The long-term projects between Danish and other cultural institutions, artists and other professionals are very important.
The Danish Cultural institute in St. Petersburg was founded on June, 26, 2003 and since that moment it promotes cultural and educational exchanges between Denmark and Russia.
Due to wide experience the Institute has large and strong network of cultural contacts in Denmark and it can suggest professional help in cultural events’ organization.
The Danish Cultural institute cooperates with different cultural institutions like Goethe Institute, the British Council, the Finnish institute and other.
